Tech Talk Tuesdays: Making sense of data and assessment!

March 24, 2012

Does your school seem data-driven, or is it data-informed? This session discusses how  the classroom teacher can aim to use data to enhance a narrative about a learner. How can we share data with the students themselves and with the parents? Can ICT tools help us? Will the sharing of data improve the learning anyway? Please bring along your personal viewpoints and thorny questions to this session, to make a lively and challenging discussion about data and assessment in our classrooms.

About our presenter: Brette Lockyer is a Grade Two teacher, originally from Perth and now working in the independent sector in Melbourne, Australia. Among her teaching interests are using ICT tools to enhance learning, and involving parents as partners in the learning process.
