Challenge Mentors iGoogle/ Word Clouds

August 31, 2011

Join Carole at 11am Thursday 1st September as she demonstrates  how she uses iGoogle to tidy her desktop. iGoogle lets you create a personalized homepage that contains a Google search box at the top, and your choice of any number of gadgets. Gadgets come in lots of different forms and provide access to activities and information from all across the web.

Then Join Simon Pankhurst and Junita Lyon at 8pm as they look at fun ways to use word clouds.  Wordle is a tool that  generates “word clouds” from text that you provide. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends
