eT@Lking: Living Digital Citizenship in Virtual Environments

About the session:- An impressive line-up of some of Australia’s top innovative educators will share with us, as part of a panel, on this essential topic of Digital Citizenship. Dr  Bronwyn Stuckey  (an administrator of Quest Atlantis) together with Joanna Kay, Dean Groom,  Kerry Johnson (all members of Massively Productive) .

What better way is there to learn about and exercise citizenship than to be part of a community. In this session we will explore how virtual worlds allow students to of all ages to experience digital citizenship, leadership, personal responsibility and personal agency. We will explore environments where learners as young as 4 and 5 through to young adults are building community, developing norms and personal identity. We will take a look at Quest Atlantis, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, JokaydiaGRID.
