“Empowering Australian learners for a life of learning”
Allison Miller
ePortfolios Australia
The use of e-portfolios in Australian adult education is an ‘emerging landscape’ with pockets of excellent practice happening in the higher education sector (HE), vocational education and training sector (VET) and the adult and community education sector (ACE), as well as within industry, mainly led by professional associations through mandated continuing professional development (CPD). This webinar will showcase the emerging uses for eportfolios in Australia to support workforce development, employability skills, skills shortages and the development of foundation skills (language, literacy and numeracy) for those people not fully engaged in learning/working at this point in time.
Allison Miller has been involved in national eportfolio projects since 2008 as the Australian Flexible Learning Framework’s Eportfolios Business Manager and the convenor of the national, cross sectoral ePortfolios Australia Conference in 2010-2012. Allison is an educational and e-learning leader for over 10 years through her roles with Vanguard Visions Consulting (http://vanguardvisionsconsulting.com.au), the National VET E-learning Strategy (http://flexiblelearning.net.au) and TAFE SA.
